Monument Valley Tipi, Utah 0202
We used to commute through Monument Valley, Utah, on our way to or from Aspen, Colorado and Sedona Arizona. I had photographed this iconic scene many times, but this time something was different. Someone had erected a pure white brand-new tipi in the middle of the desert, in a place where tipis are unknown. I stopped and grabbed this shot. The next time we came through, the tipi was bright red with dirt from a sandstorm. The time after that, the tipi was gone!
